Whitby Abbey

A gorgeous 13th Century ruin that looms over the town from its spot high on the East Cliff. Famously known as the location where Count Dracula comes ashore in Bram Stoker’s novel about the vampire!

Endeavour Experience

Climb aboard the HM Bark Endeavour and dive into her rich history as a discovery vessel on the high seas! The only full-size replica of Captain Cook’s famous ship in the Northern Hemisphere!

Whitby Sands

A picturesque stretch of caramel sand unfolding from the West Pier for two miles along the coast to the picturesque fishing village of Sandsend. Perfect for kids wanting to play in the sand or a coastal stroll.

Whitby Goth Weekend

A celebration of all things weird and wonderful! Twice a year Whitby is host to an alternative music festival and unique market, attracting thousands of goths and alternative lifestyle fans to our popular seaside town.

Whitby Golf Club

The 18-hole Whitby Golf Club is located on a stunning cliff-top site, just in between our home of Whitby and the village of Sandsend! The challenging course has excellent views of the coast and the rolling North Yorkshire Moors.

North York Moors Railway

This heritage steam train trundles past the North York Moors National Park from Whitby to the ancient market town of Pickering. You’ll pass stunning views of the Yorkshire landscape, which are filled with eye-popping patches of purple heather in the summer.

Robin Hood’s Bay

A picturesque old fishing village on the Heritage Coast of the North York Moors just 6 miles south of us in Whitby! Home to a friendly beach, rock pools and twisted cobbled streets for exploring!
